The Mercedes-Benz EQA debuts in Malaysia and it’s available here in the sole guise of the EQA 250 AMG Line. The CBU car is priced at RM278,201, which makes it just RM7,036 more expensive than the locally assembled GLA 250 AMG Line.
Dimensions for Length, Width,and height in (mm) are 4463 x1834 x 1620 .
The EQA shares the same basic shape and most of the body panels with the GLA, but the biggest differentiator is the front fascia which features tapered headlamps that flow into a closed-off grille, which is finished in gloss black along with the Mercedes-Benz logo.
It also comes with the AMG Line package, which includes a sportier front bumper that features a prominent and wider lower apron, accompanied by slatted corner air inlets
LED High Performance headlamps (with Adaptive Highbeam Assist) that also comes with blue detailing
Taillights are also conjoined and sport the same rectangular graphics as the normal GLA.

Inside, the cabin of the EQA isn’t any different from the GLA 250 AMG Line with dual 10.25-inch displays. Unlike the single-zone system in the CKD GLA 250 AMG Line, the EQA 250 comes with dual zone air conditioning, including rear air vents. The rest of the interior is upholstered in Artico man-made leather and Dinamica microfibre.
The EQA gets twin 10.25-inch displays on the dashboard handling the instrument panel and infotainment duties. The whole system runs on Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The car is specified with sports seats wrapped in Artico faux leather. Interestingly, the front seats get a heater function but without ventilation, which is odd given our hot climate. Only the front seats are powered with the driver getting 4-way lumbar support.
The Mercedes EQA has pretty decent in-car storage space. There's a roomy space under the centre console and in front of that, there are a pair of cupholders and some more storage. You'll also find and a USB C slot and a 12-volt socket. The glovebox isn't huge but it does come with an extra shelf.
The Nappa leather steering wheel features a variety of intuitive controls. Select and control your music,take phone calls, change information displays and adjust the cruise control, all while keeping your hands on the steering wheel.

The EQA is finished with premium materials for all the interior parts including the dashboard, seats and door panels that speak to its exclusivity.
The floor in the rear passenger compartment is higher than in the GLA and the boot volume is down by by about 100 litres by comparison at 340 litres. Additionally, the electric motor occupies the space where you would usually find an internal combustion engine in the regular GLA, so there’s no front trunk (frunk) available.

At a glance, the EQA may look like an identical twin of the GLA although it is not hard to differentiate them apart as the all-electric SUV features a completely closed black grille together with an LED light strip on top of it which seamlessly “connects” the vehicle’s LED headlamps.
But, the EQA looks more bold and fierce especially with the unique front fascia which features tapered headlamps that flow into a closed-off grille.
