Overview

Summary

Peugeot has been in the pickup truck business since 1938, with commercial flatbed vehicles like the Peugeot 202 and 203, Peugeot 403 and 404, and Peugeot 505.

85 years later, today in 2023, the French Lion has breached the Malaysian shores with its latest four-wheeler.

Offering ruggedness and adaptability, to suit both professional and family needs, the new Peugeot Landtrek.

Fully-imported (CBU) from China in a single variant (1.9D Allure), its starting price of MYR 120,072 (OTR, w/insurance), comes with a five-year and 100,000 KM warranty.

Six exterior colours available. Ceramic White, Silver Grey, Rockstone Grey, Magnetic Blue, Red Rubi, and Olea Green (Landtrek-exclusive).

Exterior

Body Dimensions

Weighing in at 2,095 KG, the new Peugeot Landtrek stands at 5,331 MM long, 1,925 MM wide, 1,877 MM tall, a wheelbase spanning 3,180 MM, and ground clearance of 235 MM.

Front View

Elegantly refined, its blocky and athletic exterior has a front end with a commandingly vertical grille, adorned by the Peugeot Lion in the centre.

The sculpted lines of the bumper are accentuated by a chrome trim around the grille, and a set of fog lamps with black surrounds.

Rear View

The rear end’s design is also toned and elegant, compensating the front nicely with clean cut contours, while still retaining the robust-looking outlook.

Completing the layout is a shiny chrome bumper, and the Peugeot emblem and script, largely placed in the middle of the tailgate.

Headlamps

The headlamps are slanted inwards, boxy to match the layout, and elegantly-shaped with a borderline focused design.

They are full LED units with signature illumination, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and auto On/Off function (automatic headlamps).

Tail Lamps

Vertically wrapped-around, the tail lamps contribute a lot of aesthetic to the rear layout, compensating the minimalistic style well. The set comes in bulb units.

Side Mirror

The side mirrors are power-adjustable and -folding with turn indicators.

Brakes

Fitted are ventilated disc brakes (front), and drum brakes (rear).

Wheels

Installed is a set of 18-Inch six-spoke diamond cut alloy rims, shod in 265/60 R18 tyres.

Interior

Dashboard

The new Peugeot Landtrek has a simple and straightforward dashboard layout, featuring a black leatherette scheme with silver trim detailing.

Accentuating the layout are the piano key style switches, and other logically and driver-centrically placed accessibilities. Overall craftsmanship is premium quality.

Instrument Cluster

Installed is a 4.2-Inch digital colour instrument display.

Seats

Continuing the all-black theme, the five-seater also sees upholstery in black leatherette.

Both front seats get six-way power and two-way lumbar support adjustments, while the rear seats have a 23-degree tilt adjustment and 60:40 split- or full folding layout.

Space

Space in the double-cab is ample for front and rear occupants, offering plenty of head, shoulder and legroom. The space is generous due to its stocky build.

Storage Space

Several storage areas, e.g., side door and backseat pockets, centre console compartmentalised storage areas, and a decent-sized glove box.

Steering Functions

Fitted is a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel with multi-switches (Audio, Bluetooth, Hands-free), and tilt and telescopic functions.
